Description of Services:
Engineering – Created robust cap design to work across all can sizes (European and North American). Created new spray channel design to loft spray 20 degrees up as opposed to straight out like competitive products. Optimized ribs and wall thicknesses to pass drop tests and static load tests. Optimized actuator to be in ideal ergonomic range, eliminated unwanted racking and sticking, and soft to touch geometry.
3d Modeling – Worked with industrial design team to maintain A surface while still being able to meet function requirements. Built actuator and cap parts in Solidworks. Worked with manufacturing partners to determine optimal gate, cavity code, and date code locations.
Prototyping – Worked with in house engineering team to print parts and test for ergonomics and drop testing requirements. Modified components after getting in 3D parts. Actuator was refined to decrease racking and sticking inside the cap.
